Los Angles, Calif. (April 25, 2013)-Reach Records hip hop artist Andy Mineo's debut album Heroes for Sale dominated the charts last week, debuting at No. 1 on Billboard's Christian and Gospel Charts, No. 11 on the overall Top 200, No. 2 on the Indie Album and No. 4 on the Rap Album Chart. Additionally, the record took the No. 3 spot at iTunes ® Overall Album and Hip Hop Chart, proving to be an audience favorite. Fans and critics alike are singing Mineo's praises about the 16-track record:
"This is an incredible album that has to be listened to from beginning to end. The rhymes are clever, the beats hit hard, production quality is on point and most importantly it challenges us to better in our walk as Christians and speaks of the love of Christ to soften the hardest of hearts."- NewReleaseTuesday.com
"This mindset is so counter to modern hip hop, and so refreshing in a genre full of misogynistic lyrics and self-hype, and exactly what the 116 Clique is all about."- HollywoodJesus.com
"Heroes for Sale is the best debut album in Reach Records history."- ChristianMusicZine.com
The momentum for Mineo keeps going as his brand new single featuring Christian Rock duo For KING & COUNTRY. "Caught Dreaming" is currently impacting CHR and HOT AC radio.
"This marks our first time to be featured on another artist's album as well as our inaugural journey into hip-hop, says Joel & Luke of For KING & COUNTRY. "We couldn't think of a more unique but fitting collaboration. We're 100% behind Andy both as a musician & man of character!"
In support of his new release which was No. 1 on the Billboard Christian and Gospel Charts, Mineo recently embarked on a multi-city promotional tour with various national and regional media stops in Chicago, New York, Orlando and Dallas. Mineo made appearances at college campuses, participated in CD signing and fan meet & greets.
Heroes for Sale blends a variety of Mineo's musical influences including hymns, heavy metal, hip-hop, and classical while unveiling a personal side of the hip hop artist. Mineo strips back layers of his own life in and gets real with his audience to reveal his authentic self, letting them see into his brokenness in hopes it will be something others can identify with.
